Bike Week (Saturday 12th March to Sunday 20th March) is Western Australia’s annual celebration of bike riding for transport and fun. It's a jam packed community shindig that’s open to all, whether you ride a little, a lot or you haven’t been on a bike in years. A diverse lineup of events across metropolitan and regional Western Australia offers something for everyone from casual bike riders and regular commuters to children, families, seniors and everyone in-between.


The Shire of Kalamunda are hosting a free mountain bike event! Using the kids circuit on the Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail, this guided event is suitable for all ages and fitness abilities. Includes free mountain bike hire for children over 8 and a sausage sizzle for lunch! Finish the ride with a free sausage sizzle and swim at the Kalamunda Water Park (FREE ACCESS for event participants).

Time: 9am - 1pm

Social Ride (early) - meet 7:15am for 7:30am ride out. There will be fast and cruisey groups, with both returning by 9am. 

Social Ride (later) - meet 9:15am for 9:30am ride out. There will be long (30-35km) and short (90mins) options. The short ride is ideal for family and friends new to MTBing.

Come and Try MTB sessions: start at 9am, for both adults and kids. Sessions run all morning.

** Be aware that Mundaring Weir Road will be closed from 6:50am to 9:30am on this day **
