West Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) is the state representative body for the West Australian mountain bike community.

A volunteer organisation, WAMBA works collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify, develop and sustain mountain bike experiences in Western Australia.

And also acts as a resource for clubs looking for help on trail advocacy and grants, and co-ordinates the racing calendar.

Developing our future mountain bikers

Junior Development Camp Pemberton

Registrations for the MTBA Junior Development Camp being held on 6th - 9th October at Pemberton Mountain Bike Park are now open -https://www.registernow.com.au/mtba/ERegister.aspx?E=2671

This camp is not aimed at beginner or top elite riders, but U15 and U17 juniors who already ride/ race and want to improve their skills and knowledge of mountain biking (U19 riders will also be considered). The focus is on all types of riding, as past years have seen both XC and DH riders attend.

This is a great program from Mountain Bike Australia - MTBA to help grassroots junior development in WA.

Who's up for a Dirty MTBing Weekend in Margs??

It's a double header - Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association - MRORCA are hosting the WAMBA XC State Champs on Saturday 19th September, while Sunday 20th will see Round 5 of the WAGE Gravity EnduroWhy not enter both races??

Wharncliffe Mill Bush Retreat will be hosting the race village all weekend, with refreshments, food, bike repairs and entertainment.

Three of WA's top riders have been selected to represent Australia at the upcoming UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships in Vallnord, Andorra from August 31 to September 6.

Congratulations to Reece Tucknott (XCO), Jordan Prochyra (DH) and Sam Hill (DH) on your achievements. We wish you all the best for the World Champs!
